Ingredients:

  • 200 g Butter
  • 100 g Icing Sugar
  • A pinch of Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 280 g Flour
  • 2 tsp Cocoa Powder (optional)
  • Food Coloring (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a bowl, mix together the butter, icing sugar, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.
    • Gradually add in the flour, mixing until a dough forms.
    • Knead the dough with your hands until smooth.
  2. Color the Dough:
    • Divide the dough into 100 g pieces.
    • If you want to color your dough, add food coloring to each piece and mix until you achieve the desired colors.
    • For a marbled effect, you can also mix in 2 tsp of cocoa powder with one of the dough pieces.
  3. Shape the Cookies:
    • Divide the colored dough into equal-sized pieces.
    • Press the pieces together firmly, rotating your hands about 12 times to blend them slightly.
    • Alternatively, you can use an ordinary plastic lid to press the dough pieces together. Apply a little pressure to ensure they stick.
  4. Form the Cookies:
    • Shape the dough into marbled patterns as you prefer. Make sure the pieces are of equal size for a neater pattern.
    • Press the dough pieces together firmly to form a cohesive shape.
  5. Bake:
    • Preheat your oven to 140°C (285°F).
    • Place the cookies on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until they are lightly golden.
